This you???? - Twitter latest phishing scam
This post is to alert readers that another variant of Twitter phish scam has emerged. I myself received at least two Direct Messages (DM) from my followers on this phish scam. Bear in mind that, those who send me the phish scam DM is not aware that their Twitter's account has been hacked.
In the phish scam, the DM include a text "This you???" and a link that when you click on it, will lead you to a site asking for your password. Don't enter your password. Better still, if you just don't click on the encrypted link. I for one is really not comfortable in receiving those encrypted links (or link shorten) as you will never know what harmful site it can drag you to.
The best thing to do if you were in my shoes is first, to reset your Twitter password and contact the followers that send you the DM phish scam and highlight them the problem and request them to change their Twitter password as well.
The first Twitter phish scam goes around in a DM titled "LOL is this you".
And lastly, pass this alert to your readers as well.
