End Of Road For Tamil Tigers
The Sri Lankan military said that they killed three top leaders of the rebelling Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam or Tamil Tigers and the son of the rebel group's founder. International media including CNN, however, could not confirmed the report because of safety and access reasons.
The offensive against the rebel group is in its last stages and the rebels said that they have decided to "silence our guns." If they follow through, the action will potentially mark the end of a bloody civil war that has lasted 25 years and killed as many as 70,000 people. The rebel leaders whose deaths were announced Monday included the head of the Tigers' political wing. The whereabouts of the Tamil Tigers number one man, Vellupillai Prabhakaran however could not be ascertained.

I pray for peace. We are afforded blessings here in the U.S. that many people in the world don't realize. I hope that this situation begins to move toward some type of agreement.
