Why Most Blogs Fail to Make Money Online

Blogs Fail to Make Money OnlineHave you stumbled upon new blogs that have potential to be a good blog only to disappear in the next few weeks? Those kind of blogs simply lost into thin air.

There are reasons for those blogs sitting in far corner of the blogsphere gathering cyberspace dust and without any possibility of seeing another daylight. It no longer receive visitors, the blog owner abandoned it and after sometime its forgotten. The only trace that proved it existed before is probably it's URL and pages links embedded deep inside the search engines index. This is the story of bloggers giving up on their blogs.

But what happens if the Internet is giving up on you. What happens when your site, or blog, goes unseen. You’ve tried all the basic SEO techniques and even spent the fund and went over your budget with PPC ads, but yet you don’t see any kind of feedback or results.

Some people start a blog and expect to be the next JohnChow, Shoemoney or Darren Rowse not knowing how long of a time it actually took them to start building up their reputation and credibility in the blogging community and eventually become famous blogger.

Bloggers that start with a mindset just to make money off their blog usually fail. They fail asking questions, blaming their affiliate programs or making excuses as to why they didn’t succeed. Or why they are no making money from their blog. When we all know the truth. They start with the expectation that blogging is an easy thing to do. Their wishful thinking of making money overnight with simple blogging. Write a few posts, advertise a few things and the money flow comes in. After only a few months, or sometimes even weeks, they don’t see results and they do what people who fail normally do, they quit.

Those Who Fail Usually:

* Expect easy money, fast money, and more money. Many bloggers think that they can just start a blog, and start earning thousands of dollars, well that’s not the case. High Traffic does not mean High Income. You have to be able to optimize your blog to its full potential and that doesn’t happen overnight.

* Bloggers who quit are impatience. As mentioned earlier, many bloggers start a blog with the expectation of being able to drive millions of readers to their site. They do nothing in terms of optimization, SEO, or anything else that could increase their readership. Bloggers don’t see anything happening and they start to get bored with their blog and as a result, they give up. Having a blog and expecting results is not unusual, but you got to have patience and build it up “brick per brick”. As the saying goes, Big Success start from small step.

* Don’t diversify their niche enough. Most bloggers pick a niche and don’t diversify it. If you’re talking about SEO, don’t just talk about title tags and headlines. Think outside the box and write up quality content that covers the wide range of SEO techniques, offer tips and tricks that you don’t normally see. If you want to build on your niche you got to build on diversifying it to the point where it makes people stop and think. Catch your readers’ attention and give them a reason to come back, give them a reason to comment and give their feedback. Remember, you are competing with thousands of bloggers who are better than yourself. The only way to leapfrog them is to be creative, original and create your own space.

Bloggers blog because we enjoy creating the type of community that enables us to build relationships within the blogosphere. Being able to share ideas, opinions and see other types of perspective from a different angle helps us build on ourselves. But the basic rule of blogging remain. Blog about topics that are useful for the readers not for the blogger himself/herself. So don’t give up if you love blogging.
