3 tips on how to write good blog contents

Don't know what to write? What should I blog about? This post is about tips on how to write good blog contents so that your blog stands out against thousand of similar blogs.

A simple tip is to choose a topic or interest that you are good at so that you will not run out of posts. Basically, don't blog about music if you are not interested in music or have little knowledge on music.

Must have a passion.

Passion on your blog content is also important. I have seen many bloggers published posts that are are either copy-and-paste type or just a plain rambling. Rambling means you are talking with your self and not with your readers. Rambling is about expressing your personal opinion that the readers may not be interested in.

Good writing skill also plays a part in creating a good blog contents. If your writing skill need improvement, do make research on improving it. There is a lot of resources or material on the Internet that you can take sample of and practice it. After all, practices make perfect.

Don't follow the crowd.

Blogging can be very competitive. There are hundred of thousands of blogs and websites publishing articles on how to make money, political issues, how to earn from foreign exchange, blogging about Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, or Internet marketing. The point is that, with so many blogs already established before you, you need to stands and be in front or to be the leader. If you blog about common things, very likely your blog will not be seen unless you are very aggressive in promoting your blog and drive visitors to your blog.

Thus, to have better chance of being the leader in the pack, blog on niche contents. Meaning, post articles that only you have better knowledge on or your have insider tips that the post become a scoop (the first news or information to be published).

Be creative and original.

The last tip is on how to write interesting or captivating blog contents is to be original. As far as possible, do not copy other blogger post and paste it in your blog. It will go nowhere. Sooner or later, the readers will find out about the duplicated post and will lose respect on your blog. In fact, search engines such as Google or Yahoo may also penalized your blog for content duplication especially if it contained copy righted material.
